So tonight was the first episode of American Idol season 9 and we were in Boston with Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham in the guest judge seat. I sat, watched and took notes as always but I have to question whether it was simply out of habit or because I was genuinely interested...or was it that I was curious as to how things were going to run without the effervescent Paula on the panel.
We had our usual suspects that deserved the rotten tomatoes that Deanna had suggested in my main blog to have on hand. If I had had them on hand, I may just have used them even though it would have meant shampooing the carpet. Before anyone suggests eggs, we don't have them here either as I use the liquid substitute.... gotta be careful of the cholesterol ya know.
There were a few that weren't too bad though and a small handful that are going to warrant watching if only to see if they make it through the Hollywood rounds. Looking at MJ's site, it looks like we enjoyed many of the same ones. Here are my favs this time around:

Wednesday's episode is in Atlanta where it looks like we'll see Mary J Blige in the guest spot.

Even though I watched this with you, it was good to go back and listen again. As cute as the guys are, they weren't nearly as good as Leah. She was my favorite of the five you posted.
