Auditions in the Windy City and the Sunshine State

I so meant to get these done last week but I was fighting a super bad headache last Tuesday and still wasn't 100% come Wednesday (or Thursday for that matter). I've come to the conclusion that it's time for another eye exam It's only been 2-3 years since the last one and since it's getting to the point where I may have to actually WEAR my glasses for computer work (my eyes need help for distances, not reading or computer work because the item Im focusing on at the time is too close for the prescription).... oh it's hell getting older.

Anyhow, these are the ones I have my eye on (or should I say ear on?) from the Chicago(Shania) and Orlando(Kristen Chenoweth) auditions.

Chicago
Kaitlyn Epperly (She's not bad, not great...very nice. Definitely worth a second look.)

John Park (I really liked this one. Such a beautiful voice and very good control. He has potential to get through Hollywood *IF* he doesnt crack under the pressure.)

Paige DeChausse (not bad, has potential but I don't think she'll get through the Hollywood rounds this time)

Orlando (no guest judge on the second day)
Seth Rollins (He wasn't bad, left me wanting to listen to more, alot more)

Jermaine Purifoy (Very nice voice, another one I wouldn't mind hearing more from)

Shelby Dressel (Got alot of potential, she's got a beautiful alto, but she's going to need to get past her insecurity/ self-conciousness to get past the Hollywood rounds. She'll definitely need to WOW, but at this point there were several much better.)

Matt Lawrence (Nice control. I'm hoping this one gets through to the competition rounds)

Three that were grouped together that might bear watching, I'd need to see more in order to make a decision. First opinion is "eh".

Janell Wheeler, Brittany Starr Jaymes and Kasi Bedford

And for entertainment purposes (he didnt get through to Hollywood), a couple of the places I've been to reading have been floating the rumor that this one was a plant to stir up a boring program: Jarrod Norrell. No means no, dude.

Next entry: The LA auditions.
